What is Surge?
Surge is a new community activity where a G7 player triggers a short hostile hunt for their alliance.
A G7 player activates a Hostile Spawner in Surge specific systems.
Hostiles spawn in increasing difficulty.
Alliance members defeat hostiles to score points until the timer ends (3 minutes).
Rewards are distributed based on both total points and individual contributions.
How can I participate in a Surge?
A Surge can be started by any alliance member at OPS 71+ (they activate a Hostile Spawner in eligible Surge systems). Any alliance member, regardless of level, can join for the full 3-minute window, defeat spawning hostiles that scale in difficulty, and earn points. Scoring rewards both alliance totals and individual contributions, and the starter gets bonus points for initiating.
How does it look for OPS levels below 71?
You can’t start a Surge below level 71, but you can participate in one your alliance starts by defeating hostiles in the active Surge system during the 3-minute timer. Keep pushing your dailies and progression to reach 71so you can start them yourself.
What is needed to start a Surge?
To start a Surge, an OPS 71+ player must have 100 Veilshards . These shards are obtained by completing the Hostile Harbinger Daily Goal in the Veil . Once the required 100 Veilshards are collected, the player can activate a Hostile Spawner in eligible systems to initiate a Surge for their alliance.
What rewards does a Surge give?
Participation in a Surge rewards the player with Surge Fragments which can refined in the Support Refinery tab
All participants can generate progression materials for speciality ships.
G7 participants are also able to generate Primordial Plasma, an exclusive, high-value resource required for valuable G7 Combat Tree research nodes.
