What is Solo Wave Defense, what levels are supported, and what are the rewards?

Solo Wave Defense is a new gameplay mode designed for individual players, reintroducing the Wave Defense experience in a more accessible format. It allows for engaging and rewarding progression in the Arc’s content and is designed for G4 (Level 45+), G5, and G6 players. Waves scale based on level, with levels 45 and above facing waves one to three, while levels 50 and 60+ experience waves one to five.

Players will earn progression-based rewards that contribute to their Arc development. These rewards include valuable resources to improve ships and officers.

How is Solo Wave Defense different from previous Wave Defense modes?

This version is specifically designed for solo play. Players can bring up to three ships per session and will face between three to five rounds of combat. The mode introduces Apex Raider hostiles that are balanced for players at level 45 and above, featuring new hostile encounters and mechanics that require strategic adaptation.

Note: Solo Wave Defense might not qualify for regular Wave Defense events/missions and vice versa.

Commanders now have the chance to face an even greater challenge: Elite Solo Wave Defenses. These are a more difficult version of the standard Solo Wave Defenses, designed to truly test your strength and strategy.

Same Entry Requirements: You’ll still use the Section 31 Private Cipher Keys from the faction store to enter, just like with standard Solo Wave Defenses.

3 Ships, 10 Minutes Prep: You can bring up to three ships. Once your first ship enters the system, you'll have 10 minutes to get ready before the waves begin.

Enemies are tougher. Speed crews may struggle—bring your best combat builds!

Enemies move quicker, so timing is critical. You won’t always have time to maintain combat triangle advantage—sometimes, you’ll just need to react fast.

Each wave has more enemies than before. Get ready for intense action!

Elite Solo Wave Defenses are the only source of this currency, used in the GS-31 Refinery. You’ll need it to upgrade your GS-31 ship. While owning the GS-31 isn’t required, it’s a strong asset in these battles. Good luck!
