Patch Highlights

We’re having our first major balance patch! Firstly, we’re dropping some updates to certain Superstars, to give them a power boost in Alliance Invasions. We’re giving some general performance improvements to the Street Profits in the early game, the Wild Samoans in the mid game and The New Day in the late game, to bolster their performances. 

We’re adding a new Trait - Star Athlete, to add some additional utility to some of our Superstars with a sporting legacy, to form a new team to tackle Alliance Invasions with. Next, we’re reducing the early game power of Superstars with passive sustain, who have been making some matches last longer than intended. 

Finally we have some fundamental system changes, to improve the mechanics around the Accuracy and Resistance stats, and some functional improvements to the Injury Debuff.

 

General

Accuracy and Resistance

We have refined the way that the Accuracy and Resistance stats interact with each other. Debuff application is now guaranteed when an attacker’s Accuracy exceeds their target’s Resistance, which is a big boost for our Technician Superstars especially. 

On the other side of this change, Superstars with higher Resistance will have a greater chance to resist their opponents’ Debuffs, benefitting both Showboats and Powerhouses.

Overall, both Accuracy and Resistance stats should be more important than they were, with Buffs and Debuffs providing more value as well. These changes should increase the consistency and clarity of this interaction, while maintaining a healthy counterplay window for teams that interact with the mechanics.

Injury

Damage from Injury debuffs can now KO opponents, rather than leaving them on a single hit point. This should make Injury focused characters more consistent, and provide additional counterplay against Superstars who like to stack up large amounts of Grit.

Alexa Bliss

General

Fixed a bug where Sister Abigail’s bonus damage could be dodged.

Angelo Dawkins

A lot of players have been unlocking Angelo from his Superstar Challenge, but he’s not been as much of a power boost for those players as we’d have liked. We’re bringing some of his strength forward, so he should be noticeably stronger on teams with high Raw synergy in the early game.

Passive - Big Dawg Energy

Adjusted - Now only increases the Defense of all Raw allies. 

Increased Defense from 25/25/35/40/50% to 30/35/40/45/50%,

Adjusted - When a team member uses their finisher: Gain -/1/1/1/2 to 1/1/1/1/2 Finisher Energy.

Bam Bam Bigelow

Passive - Beast From The East

Reduced Heal from -/5/5/10/10% to -/2/3/4/5%.

Big E

The New Day is an important part of WWE tag team history, and Big E is the glue that holds the team together. He’s getting a late game Defense boost for both him and his allies to add a little more Pancake Power to the team.

Passive - Power of Positivity

Increased Defense while at 100% Health from -/-/-/25/50% to -/-/-/50/100%.

Chad Gable

General

Added Trait: Star Athlete

Added - In Invasions - Apply Damage Down to all opponents for 1/1/1~2/2/2 turns.

Chyna

Passive - Ninth Wonder

Reduced Grit from 5% at all levels to 2/2/3/4/5%.

Dexter Lumis

Added - In Invasions - On Match Start: Apply Debuff Block to all NXT team members for -/1/1~2/1~2/2 turns.

Added - In Invasions - On Opponent Turn Start:  Steal -/-/-/1/2 Recovery from that opponent and apply it to all NXT team members.

Eddie Guerrero

Passive - Latino Heat

Added - In Invasions - When an opponent is KO’d: All Luchador team members gain -/10/15/20/25% Speed.

Reduced Grit to self from 5% at all levels to 2/2/3/4/5%.

Hulk Hogan

Ilja Dragunov

Reduced Speed Removal on hit from -/10/15/15/15% to -/5/10/10/15%.

Increased Chance to apply Speed Rate Down from -/-/-/10/25% to -/-/-/25/25%.

Added - In Invasions - Chance to apply Speed Rate down increased to -/-/-/50/50%.

Jacy Jayne

Jacy Jayne has been performing very well in Arena matches so far. We love this and we want to see her succeed, but she’s been a little too strong. We’re taking some of her strength away, but increasing her scaling to reward more strategic team building.

Signature 1 - Mean Girl

Reduced Debuffs Copied from 1/1~2/2/2/3 to 1 at all levels.

Finisher - Discus Big Boot

Reduced Damage from 210/285/375/480/600% to 190/255/335/430/540%.

Increased bonus damage from 10/15/15/20/25% to 10/15/15/20/30%.

Capped bonus damage from debuffs at 4.

Jey Uso

Passive - Day One Ish

Adjusted - In Invasions - On Match Start: Apply Dodge to all Usos team members for -/1/1/1~2/2 turns.

Kofi Kingston

Kofi’s doing a lot of damage, but he also takes a lot of damage in return. We’re letting him harness Big E’s Power of Positivity to keep himself safe against aggressive opponents.

Added - Apply Taunt to an allied Big E for -/-/-/1/1 turn.

Liv Morgan

Strike - I Belong

Adjusted - In Invasions - Heal the team member with the lowest health for 5/5~10/5~10/10/10% Health. If that team member was a Raw Superstar: Apply Damage Up to that team member for 1/1/1~2/1~2/2 turns.

Passive - Cry About It

Adjusted - In Invasions - On Match Start: Apply Dodge to all Judgment Day team members for -/1/1/1~2/2 turns.

Adjusted - In Invasions - On Ally Turn Start: If that ally is a Judgment Day Superstar: Apply Recovery to that ally for -/-/-/1/1 turn.

Molly Holly

Passive - Cousin Molly

Added - In Invasions - On Ally Turn Start: If that ally is a WWE Legend Superstar, Flip -/1/1/1/1 Debuff on that ally.

Montez Ford

Montez Ford has been dominating late game Arena testing, being able to hit a huge combo and take down priority targets with little chance to respond. We’re taking away his ability to take two turns back to back with no setup, so there’s a better counterplay window for his opponents.

General

Fixed a bug where Rhea Ripley’s passive was providing less Rally than intended at max level.

Seth Rollins

Passive - Architect

Adjusted Heal from 5% at all levels to 2/3/3/4/5%.

Reduced Heal to all Raw team members from -/-/5/5/10% to -/-/3/4/5%.

Shawn Michaels

Passive - Heartbreak Kid

Reduced Heal from 10% at all levels to 2/3/3/4/5%.

Reduced Heal to DX team members from -/-/5/5/5% to -/-/3/4/5%.

Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke has been a little strong in very early matches, so we’re delaying some of his power until higher ability levels, so he’s a little less overwhelming if he’s not deal with quickly. 

Signature 2 - The Japanese Sensation

Adjusted - If this Superstar has no Debuffs: Gain 50/75/100/100/100% Speed to -/50/75/100/100% Speed

Sika

The Wild Samoans haven’t been performing as well as we’d like in the early game, we’re giving some extra strength to Sika’s moves, and we’ll continue to keep an eye on Afa over the next few weeks.

Strike - Mānu

Added - Extends the duration of all Injury on the target by -/-/1/1/1 turn.

Finisher - Samoan Drop

Added - Extends the duration of all Injury on the target by -/-/1/1/1 turn.

Passive - Wild Samoans

Removed - The first time an allied Afa falls below 50% health: Apply Taunt to Sika for 1/1/2/2/3 turns.

Added - The first time an allied Afa falls below 50% health: Apply Defense Up to all Wild Samoan team members for 1/1~2/2/2~3/3 turns.

Added - In Invasions - When an ally is KO’d: Heal all Wild Samoans for -/25/50/75/100% Health.

Xavier Woods

Xavier’s starting Tag Energy was a little low, meaning that his Tag often wasn’t available when you really wanted it. We’ve increased this Energy by one, so he can get in and out to support the rest of The New Day when you need it most.

Starting Energy increased from 1 to 2.
