The roster is the complete list of characters in the game - both characters you've already recruited and characters that you've yet to unlock.

You can check the roster by tapping the Roster icon on the left-hand side of the home screen.

Characters that you have already recruited are listed first and in full color. Characters that you have yet to unlock are grayed out and marked by a magnifying glass over their icon.
