What is the Veil?
The Veil is an area of space in G7 shared by players from multiple different servers within the same region.
Who can access the Veil?
It is exclusive to G7 players, meaning those at Operations 71 and above.
Where can I find the Veil on the map?
It appears on the Galaxy Map as a new area, situated at the edge of the Margins/G7 space. You can preview it before plotting a course.
How do I enter the Veil?
You must travel there from a G7 system in the Galaxy. Entry is ship-only (not station-to-ship transfer) and is accessed through a button in Galaxy View. Once in the Veil you can go back to the Galaxy using the button to return.
Can I move my station to the Veil?
No. It is a place to explore with ships, not for permanent station relocation.
What will I find in the Veil?
The Veil contains everything you might expect from any other expansion of space in Star Trek Fleet Command; Systems, hostiles from different factions, mines, and other players. Crucially, it is also a cross-server space where you can see, interact with, and compete against players from other servers. Players from your home server will be visually distinguished in system view, making it easier to identify allies and rivals. You will need to access the Veil to complete G7 daily goals and earn the resources to start Surges for your alliance.
How do I interact with systems in the Veil?Just like the systems you’ve always travelled to, you can view, warp to, and interact with them directly from the Galaxy Map.
Does navigation work differently in the Veil? No. Navigation and movement work exactly as they do in standard galaxy systems.
Is there a new chat channel?Yes. A dedicated Veil Chat tab becomes available starting at level 70. It allows communication with other players in the Veil.
