What is it?
Territory Capture (TC) is centered around the Origin Sector, a region made up of zones (each containing one or more systems).
Alliances compete for control of zones during scheduled Takeover windows.
The Alliance with the highest score at the end of a takeover gains ownership of that zone.
While your Alliance controls a zone, all members benefit from the services and bonuses tied to that territory.
Access Requirements
To enter the Origin Sector, players must:
Be level 15 or higher.
Have ships with a warp range of at least 20.
Be a member of an Alliance.
Note: While level 15+ players can access the Origin Sector, ships must meet the warp range requirement to travel there.
Key Mechanics & Terms
PvP combat: There are no level restrictions in the Origin Sector — players can engage freely.
Visibility: Deep space visibility rules apply, meaning systems are revealed only when players are present.
Zones, adjacency, and contiguity:
Zones are adjacent if connected by a direct warp path.
Alliances can only contest zones that are adjacent to their current territory (or reconnect separated regions).
Each Alliance has a limit on how many zones it can own or contest at once (zone slots).
Takeovers & Scoring
Takeovers follow a weekly schedule for each zone.
To participate, an Alliance (Commodore rank or higher) must join the takeover before scoring begins.
Point System:Ships present in the zone: 1 point per ship per minute.
Control of capture nodes: 4 total points (3 for node + 1 for presence).
In the final third of the takeover, Overdrive mode activates, tripling all points to encourage close finishes.
If only one Alliance joins, they win automatically, even with zero points.
Benefits of Ownership & Services
Controlling a zone grants exclusive privileges to the owning Alliance:
Exclusive Housing: Only Alliance members can relocate stations inside owned zones.
Stations in unowned zones cannot activate peace shields.
Exclusive Mining: Only members of the controlling Alliance can mine within owned zones.
Mining ships can still be attacked, and attackers can steal unprotected cargo but cannot dock afterward.
Services:
Each zone offers unique Alliance Services that provide buffs to all members.
Services are purchased and activated by the Admiral or Commodores.
Services from different zones stack together and remain active until the next takeover.
Resources & Economy
Alliance Resources are shared assets collected automatically when players mine or complete certain activities.
Only Admirals and Commodores can spend them to join takeovers or activate services.
These resources remain with the Alliance even if a player leaves.
Abandoning a Zone
An Alliance can abandon a zone at any time, which immediately ends all benefits from that territory:
All active buffs and services tied to that zone end instantly.
Mining rights are lost, and stations within the zone lose peace shield capability.
