What is Ceasefire?
Ceasefire is a feature introduced to improve the post-maintenance experience. After downtime, an automatic Ceasefire period is activated to protect stations from being attacked, preventing players who log in faster from raiding your base.
Does Ceasefire protect ships as well as stations?
No. Ceasefire only protects your station. Your ships outside the station are not protected.
What happens if I attack another player while under Ceasefire?
Attacking another player’s ship or a ship on a mine will immediately remove your Ceasefire protection. A warning popup will appear to remind you before this happens.
Can I attack stations during Ceasefire?
No. If both you and the opposing player are protected by Ceasefire, Station Combat will not occur. You will receive a message explaining this. If you are protected and try to attack a player who is not, a warning popup will notify you that your Ceasefire protection will be removed if you proceed.
Do Peace Shields work with Ceasefire?
Yes. Peace Shields remain unaffected by Ceasefire and continue their countdown as normal. If your station has both protections, you will see both displayed in your HUD along with their expiry times.
How can I tell if a station is under Ceasefire?
Bases protected by Ceasefire have a visually distinct appearance in System View, making it easy to distinguish them from shielded bases. Players can also see Ceasefire status directly on their HUD.
How long does Ceasefire last?
The duration of Ceasefire depends on the length of the downtime. Specific timings are usually announced in the official STFC Discord server.
