What are Transwarp Cells ?
Transwarp Cells are consumable items required for traveling to Borg systems, such as Metra Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. Each time you initiate a warp to one of these systems, one Transwarp Cell is consumed. If you cancel the warp, the cell is still lost, as the cost is deducted when the warp begins.
How can I obtain Transwarp Cells?
To start receiving Transwarp Cells, you must first build the Vi’dar ship, which requires a Shipyard Level 25. Once built, you can claim a Transwarp Cell chest from the Gifts section every 22 hours.
Other details:
You can hold up to 8 or 9 Transwarp Cells at a time.
If your inventory is full, you’ll need to use some before claiming more.
Transwarp Cells may occasionally be available through events or store offers.
How do I use Transwarp Cells?
Transwarp Cells are consumed when traveling to Borg systems like Metra Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.
Each warp consumes one Transwarp Cell.
Cancelling the warp still uses up the cell.
Always ensure you have the Vi’dar selected before warping, as it deals bonus damage against Borg Tactical Probes, making it ideal for combat in Borg space.
Why can’t I warp to Borg space before building the Vi’dar?
The Vi’dar is required to unlock the Transwarp Cell chest in the Gifts section and to safely engage Borg Tactical Probes. This design prevents players from entering Borg space before they are ready for its advanced challenges.
