How does warp travel work, and can I cancel a warp once it begins?
When setting a course to another system, your ship automatically calculates the fastest possible route based on its warp range and warp travel distance data. Even if a shorter-looking path appears on the map, your ship will always take the most efficient route compatible with its current warp range.
You can improve your warp speed using the “X% Warp Speed” buff from the Exocomp Factory or using the right Crew for that purpose.
If you start the wrong warp by mistake, you now have the ability to cancel your warp:
To stop the 5-second charge-up, tap the X button on your ship to abort before departure.
To stop a warp already in progress, open your Ship Action Panel and select Emergency Stop. Your ship will drop out in the next system along its route.
