Combat Overview
As you progress through the game, more combat options will become available. At Operations level 10, your ships can battle other players’ ships. At Operations level 15, you unlock Station Combat, letting you attack other players’ stations.
Combat Targets
In System view, you’ll find different types of combat targets:
Roaming hostile ships → red labels
Other players’ ships → blue labels
Other players’ stations → placed near housing planets in some systems
Mission combat targets → yellow labels with a mission marker
Swarm hostiles → stronger groups of hostile ships, also in red
Armada targets → triangular icons with various colors. They may look like stations at first, but Armadas are dangerous enemies that require teamwork with your Alliance to defeat
Attacking a Target
Tap a target in System view to open its preview window. This will show its type, strength, and estimated difficulty. Tap SCAN for more details, or tap ATTACK to send your selected ship into battle. Only valid targets will display an ATTACK button.
Player vs. Player Ship Combat
Until your Operations reaches level 10, you’re protected — you can’t attack or be attacked by other players’ ships. After level 10, your ships become vulnerable when roaming or idle in System view. To keep things fair, you can only attack players whose Operations level is close to yours.
Player vs. Player Station Combat
At Operations level 15, you unlock the ability to attack stations. Tap on a station to launch an attack with your selected ship. Stations have their own defenses, and any docked ships will join the fight. Defeating a station may take multiple attempts. After a station is attacked, a 10-minute peace shield is automatically activated, giving the defender time to apply a longer shield. You cannot attack stations that belong to members of your Alliance. For more details, see our Station Combat FAQ.
