What makes exploration fun in Star Trek Fleet Command?
The Star Trek galaxy is vast, and part of the excitement comes from exploring it with your ships. As you move through systems, you’ll encounter different challenges and discover new places to conquer.
Where can I find hostile ships?
Hostile ships roam freely within the System map. While they have many different names, they are always marked with a red label. The number shown to the left of a hostile ship indicates its level. For example, a Rigellian Destroyer marked with a “5” is a level 5 hostile.
How do I access the Galaxy map?
Once you’ve conquered your starting system, open the Galaxy map by tapping the circular Galaxy button located on the bottom-right corner of the screen while viewing the System map.

How are hostile ship levels connected to system levels?
Hostile ship levels are tied to the level of the system. For example, level 3 hostile ships can be found in systems ranging from level 2 to level 4. In general, a hostile ship of a given level will appear in a system whose level is one higher or lower than its own. For instance, in the level 2 Groshi System, you can expect to encounter level 1–3 hostile ships.
