You can find the Special Contestant by doing the following:

 

-Tap on the Head to head Option that you can see on the left bottom screen on your game home page.
-Under Head to Head games, select Create a New Game option.
-On the top you can find the Special Contestant

 

Please note: Special Contestant is only available once a day.
